On February 1, 2022, Albert J. Delesky Jr., of Colts Neck, NJ, formerly of Bayonne, NJ, passed away peacefully.

Albert was born on January 14, 1959 to both the late Albert and Jacqueline Delesky (née Cerbone). He is a proud husband of 28 years to Cynthia (née DeRusso) and a dedicated father to his children: Kristen and her husband, Ryan Mulroy, Ashley and her fiancé, Ryan Norton, Caitlyn and her boyfriend, Mike Clemente, Michael and his girlfriend, Cailee Binder. He is a proud “Pa” to his grandchildren, Brynn and Declan Mulroy and a cherished brother to Joseph and his wife, Lynn Delesky, Jacqueline Keenan, and Susan Delesky. He is also loved and adored by many nieces and nephews.

Al spent his younger years generating a passion for cars which would become his lifelong trade. He began his career working for Embassy Motors which he later came to own and operate under the name of Advanced Auto Body or as many knew it, “The Shop”. Al and his business served as a pillar to the Bayonne community for over 37 years.

When Albert was not dedicating his time to his career, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. His family was his everything. He valued family time, especially together down the shore in Tuckerton, NJ which has been a generational family destination. He had a love for animals, especially his dogs, who he called his boys, Java and Cobie. He was a bodybuilder known by many for his flawless physique. He took pride in restoring cars such as his ‘69 Pontiac GTO, “The Judge”, and his ‘69 Dodge Charger, the “General Lee.” He loved the open water for boating on his Sea Ray and listening to some good tunes such as Bruce Springsteen, Classic Rock, and the Oldies played at the loudest level possible. He loved hot summer days at the sandbar with his wife, kids, and family. You could find him there working on his tan with a Bacardi and Coke in hand.

Albert took pride in all he did, and he lived each day to the fullest. He was a dedicated boss, friend, and mentor. He was a selfless man who always put others first. To know him was to love him. His heart was as pure as gold. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten as his legacy will live on through his family.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 12th from 1-5pm, with a Prayer Service at 4:30 pm in the  Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. KINDLY NOTE: At the family’s request face masks will be required in the funeral home.
