Alice Marie West, 96, of Point Pleasant formerly of Monmouth Beach and Ocean Grove, passed away peacefully at Crest Pointe on Tuesday, November 29. She lived in Monmouth Beach for sixty years before moving to Ocean Grove and then Point Pleasant.

Alice was born in Long Branch to John and Maude Eisele on October 28, 1926.  She married her beloved husband, George W. West on September 19, 1948. They were married for sixty-six years before his passing in 2014.  She was a 1945 graduate of Long Branch High School.  Alice was a sixty-year member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Long Branch and a member of the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center.  She worked in Russell Hall, Fort Monmouth and Steinbach Company, Asbury Park in the accounts payable department.  She enjoyed knitting and sewing and giving articles she made to church bazaars.

Alice was predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Connor and Jean Milner.  She is survived by her brother, John Eisele & his wife Marie, Ocean; her daughters Laura Nilsen & her husband Andrew and Janey Bisti & her husband Robert; five grandchildren Andrea Michigan & her husband Joseph, Eric Nilsen & his wife Jessie, Timothy Nilsen & his wife Leanne, Jeffrey Bisti & his wife Janet and Daniel Bisti & his wife Malinda; twelve great-grandchildren Kayla, Noah, Kiera, Shea, Olivia, Andrew, Connor, Logan, Jack, Lena, Eva and Luke and many nieces and nephews. Alice’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Swan Hospice.
