Alicia Marie Tolas, 65 of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9. She was born on October 11, 1956 to Frank and Grace Licata in Staten Island, where she was raised.
Alicia was a passionate woman in all facets of life, especially her family, who adored her. She worked in real estate for over forty years, it was “in her blood” and she truly enjoyed her job as an Appraiser. She loved to cook, especially when it came to Sunday dinners, where all the kids would be together. She loved being down the shore; Journeys End in Normandy Beach was her favorite spot to watch the sunset. But more than anything in this world, being with her children and grandchildren was everything to her. She was truly one of a kind, selfless and devoted. She always put others before herself and did anything and everything she could to ensure her family was happy. She was absolutely beautiful inside and out and will forever be our “Gigi.”
She is predeceased by her mother Grace Licata, and her brother Louis Licata. She is survived by her father Frank Licata, son Robert and his wife Brittney Tolas of Freehold, and daughter Stephanie and her husband Jonathan D’Agostino of Holmdel, and three beloved grandchildren Charlotte, Ella, and Hannah.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12 from 4-8pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, April 13 at 10 am at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Holmdel.
In lieu of traditional remembrances, the family asks with gratitude that donations in Alicia’s name be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
