Anna Boffa, 91 of Monroe Township, died on Wednesday, June 22.
She was born in 1930 to the late Mary and Vito Tortoriello in Newark where she was also raised.
Anna began working at a very early age to help provide for her family. She worked for RCA and met her husband while he was on leave from the Navy at a dance. They married and they moved to Roselle Park where they raised their family and resided until 2019.
Anna was a devoted wife and mother and loved to cook for everyone. She was never seen without her nails and hair done. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing with her husband.
She is predeceased by her parents, and her siblings Anthony Tortoriello, Edward Tortoriello, Josephine Kately, and Adel Palmieri.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Judge William Boffa, Jr. Esq., children Sandra and her husband Michael Malagiere, Marilyn Boffa, and Barbara and her husband Steve Hawthorne, her siblings Vito Tortoriello and Grace Scapicchio, and five grandchildren Meghan Malagiere, Stephen Hawthorne, Haley Hawthorne, Michelle Malagiere, and Blake Hawthorne.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26 from 2pm – 5pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 27 at 10:30 am at the Parish of St. Mary, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro.
