Anne Hayhurst formerly of Philadelphia and Long Branch, died on Oct. 17th in Lansdale, PA. Born in Oceanport the daughter of Cyril and Georgia Hauhurst. She graduated Long Branch High School class of 1941 and the University of Kentucky. After WWII she worked for the US Government in Japan for two years, Upon returning home she worked for the government in Philadelphia nd the Signal Corp at Fort Monmouth, where she retired. Following retirement she worked many part time jobs. She initially retired to Florida for five years, but missed her home and returned to Philadephia. She was a member of the Union League Club, Philadelphia and the Long Branch Women's Club and several bridge groups. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Long Branch. She was pre-deceased by her parents and her brother, James Hayhurst. Surviving is her sister-in-law, Dorothea Hayhurst, Philadelphia; niece Pamela Elston, Tn; and her dear close friend, Jane Poole.
