Anne M. Lynch, 92, of Matawan passed away peacefully in her sleep with her children by her side at Riverview Medical Center on Monday, May 13th.
She was born and raised in Manhattan, one of nine siblings. She received her First Holy Communion at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, NYC. She is a graduate of Cathedral High School, NYC. After high school Anne worked in Manhattan. She married James Lynch in 1959. In 1964 they moved their young family to Matawan NJ, and Anne had lived there since. Anne was a communicant of St. Benedict RC Church, Holmdel.
Anne was a Realtor for over 30 years in Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean counties. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and cruises. Anne especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and was an avid mystery reader.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Patricia Kenney, in 2010 and her husband, James Lynch, in 2016.
Surviving are her 14 grandchildren and her children, Alicia (John) Cummings, Park City, Utah; Thomas (Shari) Lynch, Ocean; Annemarie (Don) Sutton, Shavertown, PA; Brendan (Kathi) Lynch, Eagleville, PA and Kieran Lynch, Matawan.
Visitation: Thursday May 16th, 5 to 8 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian burial, Friday May 17th, 10 AM at St. Benedict Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in memory of Anne to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
