Anne T. Brennan, 84, of Jackson and Marlboro passed away early Saturday morning surrounded by her family.
Anne was born and raised on the Upper East Side in New York City. At 18 her family moved to Long Beach, Long Island. In 1959 she would marry the love of her life, James, and the two would start their life together in Woodside, Queens eventually moving to Dublin Lane in Hazlet.
While raising a family, Anne returned to Brookdale Community College and realized her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She was an RN at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel for 25 years.
Anne loved to travel and has been all over the world. She loved trips to California to see her daughter, loved to knit sweaters for all her grandchildren, was an avid reader, loved the beach and enjoyed a nice glass of red wine at the end of the day. Above all she cherished time spent with her family. She will truly be missed. She was a gem.
Anne is predeceased by her husband, Jim and her son-in-law James J. Flatley.
Anne is survived by her children Claire McGuiness(Brennan), and her husband Jim of Marlboro, Kathleen Flatley( Brennan), of San Jose, California, Timothy Brennan and his wife Cindy of Freehold, Terence Brennan and his wife Audra of Manalapan and AnneMarie Opramolla (Brennan) and her husband Paul of Freehold; her grandchildren Nicole, Kristina, James, Alexander, Michaela, Colleen, Kate, Carlianne, Amanda and Daniel; and her great grandchildren Isabella, Liam, Luca, Everett and Leonardo. She is also survived by her sister, Maureen McLaughlin and many loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 14th from 4:00 – 8:00 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 15th at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Historic Chapel on Rt. 520 in Marlboro. Interment will follow at St. Gabriel’s cemetery.
