Anthony “Tony” Foglia, 82, of Colts Neck, passed away Friday surrounded by his closest family.
Tony was born in Manhattan and raised in Rahway, NJ. He graduated from Rahway High School and began his career working for his father at Rahway Steel Drum, where he would become a successful entrepreneur and businessman and ultimately remain for more than 60 years.
Tony raised his family in Fords, NJ, but he found his 2nd home and true passion in thoroughbred horse racing as an owner, trainer and friend to all who crossed his path at the Monmouth Park track. He was a generous, larger-than-life person with a rich social life where he found joy in sharing food and drink with all. Anyone who met Tony, never forgot him.
Anthony is predeceased by his parents Anthony & Mildred, and his brother John. Anthony is survived by his best friend, brother & business partner, Michael Foglia and his wife Janice; children Michelle Bevelock and her husband Thomas, Anthony E. Foglia and his wife Shellean, Angela Romano and her husband Andrew, and Terry Romano and her husband Vince; siblings Vincent and Theresa; his grandchildren Nicholas, Thomas J., Brianna, Kaila M., Anthony, Giovanna, Angelina, Dominic, Kaila G., Evangeline, Thomas A., Rachel, and Paul; and great grandchildren Raelynne, Theodore, Grant, and Mason.
Visitation will be Friday, August 2nd from 3:00-7:00 PM with a service at 6:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel NJ 07733.
