Ariel was born and raised in Brooklyn, she attended and graduated Thomas Jefferson High School. After high school, from 1951-1955, Ariel worked as a Secretary for the State of New York Department of Finance. During this time, she was dating the love of her life who she had grown up with and in 1954 the two married and moved to Massachusetts and had their first child. After two years, they would move to Queens, NY where she would spend eight years and have two more children. Following that, the family would settle in Old Bridge, NJ to raise their family.
Ariel continued her career journey. She worked for Monmouth County Day Care and during the course of her 6-year tenure was promoted from secretarial duties to the Department of Social Service where she was responsible for the administration of 2 daycare centers. Ariel went on to work for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in a secretarial capacity and would retire from that position in the 90’s.
Ariel loved to travel, she and her husband were able to see most of the world together traveling through the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Canada and the United States. Ariel was even able to share her love for travel with her granddaughter who she would take on cruises. Ariel liked to stay active, she loved to jog, bike and ski. She also loved cooking gourmet meals from all over the world and she loved having everyone at her table. She was an incredible woman who will be sorely missed.
