Arminda L. Cid, 86, of Holmdel, passed away on Monday surrounded by her family.
Born in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba and raised in Havana, Arminda attended the University of Havana where she studied to become a pharmacist. She was blessed to have found and marry the love of her life, Martin, on April 5th, 1962, soon after immigrating to the United States in 1963. Arminda and Martin would ultimately plant their roots in Holmdel where they raised their two daughters and were later joined by Arminda’s loving parents.
When she wasn’t spending time with her family, Arminda loved to spend time with her friends, socializing, shopping, playing cards and going out to dinner. She was a woman who took great pride in how she presented herself, always well-dressed and ready for any occasion.
Arminda is predeceased by her parents Evelio and Ana Rodriguez.
Arminda is survived by her loving husband Martin M. Cid; her daughters Yvonne Cid, Aileen Porter and her husband Duane; and her beloved grandchildren Ernie, Wayne and his wife Veronica and Cid and his fiancé Jovonna.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 18th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel NJ 07733. A mass of Christian burial will be offered Friday, May 19th at 9:15 AM at St. Catharine’s RC Church, 108 Middletown Rd, Holmdel. An entombment will follow at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
