Arthur M. Mahoney, 67 of Asbury Park formerly of Ocean Township passed away, Thursday, February 27th at his home. Mr. Mahoney was born in Jersey City, he had lived in Ocean Township before moving here 3 years ago. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Era. Art earned his BA degree from St. Peter's College, Jersey City and had studied at NYU for his MBA. He owned and operated Sandler Communications, New York City until, 2000, when he left the city and opened Bayhead Consulting group, which he operated until his passing. Art loved to travel, cook and sitting on his terrace looking out over the ocean. He was a long time member and spent many wonderful summer days at Takanasse Beach Club. Art loved to eat at all the local restaurants that have developed along the Jersey Shore. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Friede Mahoney in 2006. Surviving is his second wife, Marianne Forman; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott Mahoney and Elaine Smolen, New York City; his sister, Lucy Jensen, Point Pleasant Boro; niece Laura and her husband Kirt Wahl, Point Pleasant Boro; nephew, Mark Jensen, Ocean; his great niece and nephew, Connor and Reilly; Marianne's children, Faith Forman Roberts and her husband Josh, Pittsburgh; Phillip and Julie Forman, Atlantic Highlands and their daughter, Caroline; Whitley and Rachel Forman, Howell and their children, Jackson and Elliot. Visitation , Wednesday, March 5th, 6 to 8 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral services, Thursday, March 6th, 11 am at the Funeral Home.
