Barbara was the sister I never had. We first met in line for registration for MMC nursing school. Thoughout the two years there we became lifelong friends. She was the Godmother to my son Brian. Her sense of humor and friendship carried me through many a time. She is in my heart and memories always. My sincere condolences to her family, especially her sister Marie.

Barbara was my son Brian's God mother. Barbara was family to us; she always stopped in Christmas Eve and spent Christmas morning breakfast in Wanamassa with us.. Barbara gave me a necklace of a pig holding the letters MCP for Christmas one year....(male chauvinist Pig). We all got a lot of laughs about that. She was our go to person when the boys were sick as head nurse on Peds. We would stop and visit her at Brandywine on our trips up to NH and back again. May the Lord welcome this Child into his arms. Rip Barb!

I first met Barbara many years ago when I was a resident at MMC back in the early 70s. After completing my residency in ObGyn and serving in the Navy, I returned to private practice in Long Branch. Barbara eventually became a patient and we had a doctor-patient relationship until I retired in 2013. She was a great human being and a terrific nurse. We shared a somewhat maudlin sense of humor. She was one of my favorites and I will truly miss her. My heartfelt condolences to her family and may she rest in peace. God Bless.

Very sorry to learn of Barbara’s passing. Have good memories of the Grasso family, next door Indiana Avenue neighbors many years ago. Sincere condolences to sister, Marie, and the extended family.

I first met Barbara when I was an intern at Monmouth Medical Center back in the day, doing a rotation in Pediatrics. When I finished my residency in ObGyn and eventually went into private practice, she became a patient of mine and remained so for many years. She was a warm, friendly, and smart woman with a great sense of humor. She was an outstanding nurse as well. She will be sorely missed and I wish her family strength and love in dealing with her loss.

My deepest sympathy and prayers for my dear friend and teammate. I will always remember our trips to AC where we would have to leave toll money in the car so we could get home. Our many games of Space Invaders until our fingers were numb, but most of all our friendship. RIP Barb
