Betty Studebaker Nankervis, 91, Holmdel, passed away Sunday, May 28th at home.

Surviving are her children Daniel Nankervis and his wife Cynthia, Atlantic Highlands, Stephen Nankervis and his wife Jackie, Vista, CA, Robert Nankervis and his wife Pamela, Atlantic Highlands, Nancy Galin, Sloatsburg, NY and Jonathan Nankervis and his wife Hilda, Middletown and 6 grandchildren:Dana and her husband James, Brian and his wife Erica, Jonathan, Sarah, Kaitlyn and John and her great grandchildren Brilyn, Ryan, Lea and Matthew.

Proud descendent of the Studebaker brothers, Betty was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and a Badger chess champion. In addition to raising her five children, she was the owner and manager of Holland Hill Farm, which she owned for 51 years, until her passing.

Born and raised in Richland Center, WI, Betty moved to Virginia Beach in 1953. In 1956, she moved to Middletown, New Jersey and then settled on her farm in Holmdel in the spring of 1966. She loved caring for the horses and flower gardens on the farm.

Betty also enjoyed hiking and golfing with friends. Some of her best memories were of hiking the Long Trail in Vermont. In later years, she traveled to Germany and Alaska.
