A dedicated Teacher for over 34 years in the Matawan – Aberdeen School District Bonnie K. McCullough, 61, of Matawan, N,.J., passed away on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born in Memphis, TN. but was a resident of Matawan, N.J. for most of her life. She was a graduate of Monmouth University and a communicant of St. Clement's Catholic Church in Matawan. She had been active in Church activities and programs. Bonnie was a gifted artist who exhibited and shared her creative talents in countless ways. Bonnie taught in the Matawan Aberdeen School District for thirty-four years. Her passion for teaching was unsurpassed. Her dedication, hard work and love for her profession was unmatched and admired by all. She received hundreds of testimonials throughout her career from students, parents and peers expressing their grateful appreciation for her positive impact on their lives. Her greatest passion and love of all, however, was for her wonderful family; devoted husband Bill, cherished daughter Amanda, and beloved son Zachary. Bonnie was predeceased by her mother, Katherine. Bonnie is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Amanda, son Zachary, father Fred Creasy and his wife Annette, brothers Gary and James, sister Laurie, stepdaughter Laura, stepsons William and Steven, brothers in law George, Frank, John, and sisters in law Judy, Frances, Adele, Barbara and many loving nieces and nephews.Her family, dear friends, and all those whose lives she touched with love are greatly diminished by this loss. A visitation will be held today, Thursday , December 23rd from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be offered for Bonnie on Friday , December 24th at 10:00AM at St. Clements' Roman Catholic Church, 172 – Freneau Avenue (Route 79) Matawan, NJ. I am her second cousin and was extremely close to her Grandmother Gladys Stevens Jenks of Utica, NY, who lived to be 99 years old & always spoke about her Bonnie; her late Uncle Steve lived with my family in Utica when I was about 8 yrs old while taking a job course for Remington & it was such a happy time as he, like Bonnie, was so loving. I am so sorry. I remember Bonnie well as being very beautiful and smart. When I last saw her in Utica, NY, before her marriage, I was truly impressed with her red hair(Meade trait, her beauty & her fashion flair and her kind sweet, nature. I am so sorry.
