Donna Levy left a message on May 2, 2020:
I just heard about Brenda’s passing. I was her and Don’s neighbor for 20 years. While we didn’t interact very much, it was always a pleasure to sit and talk in their garden. They were both such nice, friendly people. I know she was over the moon for her grandchildren and was so proud of all they accomplished. My condolences to the family and friends. She was a lovely lady.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our cousin, Brenda. She was a “true Southern Belle” with beauty inside and out. Her laughter was infectious and she and I loved to dance at their Bayville retreat. These last years were more than difficult but she was always upbeat and positive. We will remember Brenda and Don with love for always. Nancy and Bob
Sylvia Rubin Margolius left a message on October 21, 2019:
Tracy just called with the sad news. We planned a trip to see Brenda in December. I enjoyed my talks with her these past few months. Brenda and I reconnected about 10 years ago and learned that for years she and Don passed through Albany (Our home) many, many times on their way to Lake Placid. We did have the opportunity to visit them in Lake Placid. Tracy and family just ask Uncle Jay and Uncle Richard how welcoming the Bolen home was to the Bolton High teenagers. Brenda was a good friend and I will always have wonderful memories of her. May she rest in peace. My sincere condolences to the Johnson and Bolen families.
