Bruce W. Woolley, 61, of Rumson, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 21, 2009. Mr. Woolley was the owner and manager of the Woolley Funeral Home, Long Branch. He was the Senior Warden and served as the Treasurer of St. James Episcopal Church, Long Branch. Mr. Woolley was a former Trustee of the Central Jersey Bank and Trust Company, and a Director of the former Shadow Lawn Savings and Loan Company, West Long Branch. He was a member and former Secretary of the Long Branch Rotary Club. Mr. Woolley was the President of the Harpoon and Needle Club, Long Branch. Mr. Woolley was a 1966 graduate of Long Branch High School. He graduated from Rider College in 1970 and graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, New York City in 1972. He was pre-deceased by his Father Bruce C. Woolley, in 1977; three brothers, Peter H. Woolley in 2000, Sean A. Woolley, in 2002 and Stephen C. Woolley, in 2004. Surviving is his wife, Jodi Leitstein Woolley; a daughter, Emily Anne; his Mother, Irene Desmond Woolley; a niece Shannon Woolley; two nephews, Ryan and Matthew Woolley; his Aunt and Uncle, Margie & James Desmond, Columbia, SC: an Uncle, Dennis M. Jackosn Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 23rd, 1 to 6 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street at Broadway, Long Branch. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 24th, 10:00 am, Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, Christ the King Parish, Long Branch. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.
