Camille Sperounes, of Stuart, Florida died Monday, May 21, 2018 with her husband of 43 years at her side.
Camille graduated from Shore Regional High School and the College of New Jersey. She had a B.A. in Deaf Education and taught at the New Jersey School for the Deaf and a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and later worked as a Speech Pathologist for the Department of Defense on the Greek Island of Crete. Camille traveled extensively and lived abroad including Mexico City, Mexico; Paris, France; Athens and Mykonos, Greece; and Rome, Italy. She was a gourmet cook and enjoyed entertaining, and painting portraits and scenes from her traveling experiences. Camille will be missed by many from the Jersey Shore and others from Latin America and Europe.
She is predeceased by her parents, Angelina and Carmen Sorrentino. Camille is survived by Steven Sperounes, her husband, and his sons Michael and Gregory Sperounes; her sister, Andrea Sorrentino, and her son, Daniel Acker; and many loving cousins and friends like Maureen Papp.
