Carl D. Langer, 48, of Colts Neck, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Born in the Bronx, New York, he was a longtime resident of Hazlet before settling in Colts Neck six years ago.
Carl was an electrician with IBEW Local #3 in New York. He was a devoted fan of New York Sports, especially the Jets, Rangers, and Yankees. He truly enjoyed hockey and his love for the Rangers was something those who knew him will always remember.
Carl also had a lifelong love of cars and motorcycles, a passion he shared with his father and brother. It was a defining part of who he was and brought him tremendous joy throughout his life.
Carl and Tara cherished the time they spent together on Long Beach Island. A devoted dog lover, he shared a special bond with Bailey and Porsche.
Carl was predeceased by his mother, Karen Langer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Tara Langer, with whom he shared 21 years together; his parents, John and April Langer; his sister, Kim, and her husband, Christopher Lombardo; and his brother, Matthew, and his wife, Danielle. Carl was also a dedicated uncle to his goddaughter Victoria Delehanty, as well as Madison and Lauren Lombardo, Giuliana Rysz, Mila Langer, and Lily Napoli.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23rd, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 24th at 11:00 AM, at St. Gabriel’s RC Church in the Main Church, 100 North Main Street (Route 79 North), Marlboro, NJ 07746.
