When my parents informed me of an accident involving a teenager with the last name Wines in our area, I held my breath that it was not someone related to you. To find out that it was your daughter�I don�t even know what to say. You are such a warm, loving, and kind person and I know how much Carlee meant to you. I am so so sorry that this tragedy has happened to you. I am so so sorry for you loss.

My 18 year old daughter was on the same floor of Hartford Hospital throughout your ordeal there, and although I did not know Carlee, her parents, or the many, many friends and family she had there rooting for her, my heart goes out to you for your loss. Donna and Steven, This is Lilly whp usad to drive for Amour. I was going to go to Carlees wake, but I found out at 4:45 that it was from 1 to 5 instead of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. I am so sorry for your loss. I truly know how you feel, I lost my oldest son Greg six years ago, January 26thm 2001. He was working, clamming with another guy and a wave came over the boat and they both drowned. we didn't find him till 4 months later on May 23rd. My heart goes out to you and your families. I also lost my grandson,Jesse, he was Gregs baby, he died with SIDS at 6 weeks old, that was 6 months before we lost Greg. Back in high school I always remembered Carlee as the diamond in the rough, the one girl that stood out and made everyone's bad day into a good one. Even though I didn't know her that well, I will hold her bright personality forever in my heart. Love, Sheryl Zielinski and family

I had the honor and privilege of being Carlee's Language Arts teacher when she was in 7th grade. Carlee was and always will be and inspiration to me as a person and as a teacher. To say that she was intelligent, creative, and motivated is an understatement. She was a shining star and those of us who were lucky enough to be part of her life must always cherish our memories of her. Carlee's sparkling blue eyes, her infectious smile, and her zest for life will continue to live in our hearts forever. I am grateful that I was fortunate to say that I was her teacher. Her life will forever impact the way I teach and the way I live my life. We all need to see the world through Carlee's eyes; she always saw the glass as half full and we all must honor her memory and smile when we think of her and all the wonderful memories she created while she was with us. The world has lost a beautiful human being, but she will never lose our love and thoughts. Carlee, I pray that you rest in peace. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your life. Although I never met Carlee we came from the same family- UConn. I don't have children and I can't imagine the pain you are experiencing but I feel for you and I pray there is closure to this trajedy.

I remember Carlee as one of the sweetest, prettiest girls on my Pop Warner cheerleading squad. My daughters said that Carlee stayed true to that memory of mine. Everyone knew her and liked her immensely. I am so saddened by this horrible tragedy. I will keep Carlee and her family in my prayers.

They say your college years are when you meet the people you can't beleive you ever lived without. It's true. I met Carlee. My roomate, my friend. We learned how to live life together. In four months I learned to know her more than anyone else, she learned to know me, and we shared everything (other than our clothes). I'm going to miss her so much. And to the family, my life has changed because I met Carlee, to be related to her would have been an experience for sure. My love to everyone.
