Carol Wortman, daughter of Leah and Nathan Tuzman, was born on November 18, 1944 and has passed away on February 16, 2023 after battling with cancer for almost 10 years. Carol grew up in Bronx, New York, with her brother Dr. Leonard Tuzman. She graduated from City College of New York and became a teacher in New York and New Jersey. She shifted her career and became successful business owner of Super Guys and Gals in Freehold and Malboro, New Jersey. Carol always has been a learner and an entrepreneur. Later in life, she decided to go back to school at Georgia Court College, where she earned a special education degree and she resumed her career back as a teacher and thereafter, became a co-owner of the Goddard School of Hazlet.
Carol will be missed by her loving husband, Stephen Wortman of 54 years of marriage, two sons: Noel and his wife, Ky of Bernardsville; Greg and his wife, Randi of Kensington, Maryland. The love of her life were her grandchildren: Paige (19); Evan (17); Eli (17), Noa (16); Oren (14). She also leaves behind her brother Dr. Leonard Tuzman of Hicksville, who she adored. We will all miss her!
Carol enjoyed reading books and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had many close friends, whom she golfed and played cards with. She was loving, intelligent and a truly a powerful force in the Wortman family. She will always be loved by her family and friends and will never be forgotten.
