Carole Ann Fragetti, 80, of Holmdel passed away early Thursday morning surrounded by her family.
Carole was born and raised in Manhattan and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. At 16 years old she met the love of her life, Anthony, while working at Woolworth’s Five and Dime store. Shortly after graduating high school, she and Anthony married and started their life together in Bergenfield, NJ and eventually move to Holmdel where they have been for 37 years.
Throughout her life, Carole had many jobs, but what she was most proud of was being a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Carole loved to travel, and she and Anthony traveled all over the world visiting churches and exploring everything life had to offer. She enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City with friends and family to play the slots; she was an avid reader; and enjoyed their home in Sea Bright, but her favorite thing was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the Christmas season and spent countless hours decorating so that their home was full of joy, love and happiness. Carole had the kindest heart and always put a smile on your face.
Carole is predeceased by her son Anthony Fragetti Jr.
Carole is survived by her loving husband Anthony Fragetti Sr.; her beloved daughter Donna Gioia and her husband Bruce of Aberdeen; her granddaughter Melissa, and grandson Andrew and his wife Megan.
