Caterina I. Mazzei, 90 of Long Branch, died on Wed. July 28th at Monmouth Medical Center.

She was born in Girifalco, Calabria Italy and lived in Catanzaro, Italy before moving to the United States in 1962, settling in Long Branch. Mrs. Mazzei loved to cook all things Italian, especially her Christmas and Easter cookies. She enjoyed the holidays and having her family together. She is a parishioner of Holy Trinity RC Church, Long Branch.

She is pre-deceased by her husband, Nandi P. Mazzei, in 2019; her parents, Rosina and Dominic Palaia; her brothers, Sam and Rocco Palaia and her sister, Gina.

Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, James Mazzei, Oceanport and Frank and Cindy Mazzei, Oceanport; her brother and sister, Frank Palaia and Rosina Marinaro; and her five loved grandchildren.

Visitation Sunday, August 1st, 1 to 4 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch.
