CATHERINE ZAGALIK, 87, passed away on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010 at the Riverview Medical Center, in Red Bank, N.J. Born in Perth Amboy, Mrs. Zagalik lived in Woodbridge where she and her husband raised their two daughters. During those years, she was an avid homemaker and also worked at the Park Sweet Shop in Woodbridge for many years. She and her husband Michael later moved to Lewes, Delaware for several years, and upon the passing of her husband, she returned to N.J. and settled in the Middletown area. She then was employed at the Lincroft Pharmacy, and also at Chris’ Deli in the River Plaza area of Lincroft. She always remained active and enjoyed her home, and loved cooking, especially her special soups and stews. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, and by a brother Angelo D’Amico. She is survived by her daughter Natalie and her husband Jerry Kadash of Tinton Falls, N,.J., her daughter Rosalie and her husband Jim Webster of Vero Beach, FL, by her brothers John and Sam D’Amico of Hopelawn, N.J., and by her sister Rose Baginsky of Toms River, N.J. Having raised two teachers, Catherine would appreciate that in lieu of sending any flowers, donations be made in her memory to St. Leo the Great School, 550 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, N.J. 07738

To Natalie,Jerry,Rosalie and Jim, words cannot express the sorrow we feel at the passing of your mother and mother in law and our dear beloved cousin Catherine. What a joy it was when I spoke to Catherine some years ago for the first time. I remember how happy she was after we first made contact.She even got to see her mom's half sister, (my grandmother here in Australia) May she rest in peace.
