Charles Reap 72 of Oceanport died on Friday, August 20th at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
He was born in Pittston, Pa. and graduated Raritan High School. Charlie attended St. Joseph’s College in Florida. He joined Conrail and worked there until his retirement. Charlie was a good natured, gracious, giving person, who would do anything to help anyone he could.
He enjoyed with his wife, Heidi, their annual trip to Saratoga Racetrack and was an avid fan of the New York Giants. Charlie loved politics, especially President Donald Trump as well as Fox News. Charlie flew his American Flag proudly at his home every day. He was an avid reader of the New York Post.
Charlie loved caring for his home and his yard. He enjoyed a good spaghetti dinner and would always say, “I have never met a potato I didn’t like”. He did not like using GPS and every year, would visit Triple A, to purchase his new paper road maps.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Heidi Kaplan Reap; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Steve Bakanauskas, Galloway Twp., and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Keith and Eileen Kaplan; two nephews, Chase Kaplan and Neil Kaplan.
Visitation Monday, Aug. 23rd, 4 pm until the funeral service at 6:30 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch.
