Craig J. Percopo, 42, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, after a 2-year battle with cancer. Craig was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, and his warmth and spirit affected everyone he met.

Craig was born in Livingston, New Jersey on May 22, 1984, to Marie and Robert Percopo.  Though his life was cut short, Craig seized each, and every, day. Craig was an accomplished athlete—a three-season varsity athlete in high school (soccer, wrestling, and track) and a decathlete for Lehigh University, medaling many times over in the Patriot League. Craig also was an accomplished skier, triathlete, and lifeguard, and he shared his love of sports with his children, nieces, and nephew through skiing, boogie boarding, boating, fishing, camping, biking, and soccer. Craig holds an MBA from Fordham University and had a successful career in finance as Head of Project Finance, Americas, for DZ Bank AG.

Craig loved his family and friends fiercely. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years and lifelong love, Carrie Percopo (Craft), the children who were his greatest pride, Aaron (11), Chase (8), and Madelyn (5), and his devoted dog Cinnamon.  He is the beloved son of Marie and Bob Percopo, brother of Lissa and Chris, and brother-in-law to Rachel and Bobby Leichte and Ryan Drewniak. He will forever be the “fun-uncle” to Royce, Vivi, Lena, Rosie, and Ella. He also leaves behind countless friends, family, and co-workers whom he loved dearly.

Craig was predeceased by his grandparents Lena Piergrossi (Gaccione), Julius Piergrossi, Celia Percopo (Puzo), and Ugo Percopo as well as (the best dog ever) Bella.

There will be a viewing at Holmdel Funeral Home (26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733) on Thursday, September 24th from 5-9 p.m. and a Mass at the Church of Saint Catharine on Friday, September 25th at 10:30 a.m. Following the service, his family will host a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Craig’s life and memory are invited to support the family he loved so deeply. A memorial page has been established to support his children’s future educational and other endeavors.
