Cynthia D. Marks, 87, of Oceanport, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 18th.
Cynthia was born in Long Branch and graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School. She was a faithful communicate of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church. Before retiring, Cynthia was a Sales Associate for over 30 years at Country Curtains, Shrewsbury.
Cynthia and her family have very happy memories from their summers in Sea Bright at Driftwood Beach Club then Surfrider Beach Club. She also enjoyed gardening, particularly growing flowers.
Cynthia was predeceased by her husband Michael in 2013. Surviving are her children Dr. John & Leila Marks of Belmar, Dr. Michael & Chantal Marks of Salisbury, MD, and Elizabeth & Todd Dangler of Oceanport as well as six beloved grandchildren, Lydia and Jack Marks and Michael, Alexander, John Paul and Matthew Dangler. Cynthia was also pre-deceased by two sisters Marcella Dobbs Nilson and Alicia Dobbs.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 22nd 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 101 Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch. Burial to follow in Mt.
