Daniel L. McLoone, 88 of Sarasota, FL formerly of Holmdel, NJ died at home on Friday October 1, 2010. Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived in Holmdel for many years prior to moving to Sarasota, FL. Mr. McLoone was a Financial Software Designer with SunGard, DML, and Dean Witter. He was the founder of DML a leading software firm in the financial industry. He graduated from Fordham University in the Bronx, NY Daniel was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 54 years of sobriety. Besides helping himself, he also helped many others find there sobriety. Mr. McLoone was an Army Veteran of WWII, serving with the 104th (Timberwolves) Infantry Division in the ETO. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Trudy and 2 sons, Daniel and Kevin. Surviving are his wife Alma, a son, Brian and his wife Susan, and 4 grandchildren, Brian Daniel, Joshua, Ashlie, and Mikey.
