Luann and family My sincerest condolences on Dave's sudden passing . I got to know Dave through basketball and was fortunate enough to have worked with him over the last two years on non-basketball matters. I have always had a theory about being able to determine a person's character after playing 10 minutes of BB with that person. My experience playing against him in basketball and then with other matters validated what a good guy he was. I regret that I did not have a chance to get to know him more. I am sure his loss is irreplaceable. I wish you and your family peace, comfort and strength knowing that there are many people, including the "men's basketball community" who share the same feelings. I am sorry that I could not attend today's service because of my travel schedule but, again, I wish you and your family well in this difficult time and the sincerest of condolences.

Luanne, Mr. Haaf, Mike, Kirsten and children. I am so so sorry about David..... I can't imagine what you are going through. We haven't been in touch as of late but it is still leaving a hole in my heart. Our years through high school and college together were quite a ride. Speaking of ride, David was always driving the train of fun and my VW Bug as well. I would happen to look out the window in a HS class and see my bug leaving the grounds with David behind the wheel and various others along for the ride. I am sure he was also part of the picking up and turning my bug sideways in front of our college dorm so I could not get out of my parking space. Just a few notes of our fun times together with all of our common friends to hopefully make you smile for a moment. Again I am so sorry for your loss and I will always remember him and be thinking of all of you through this tough time.
