Dolores Marmora Graniero died July 19, 2011 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, she graduated from St. Michael's Academy and completed nurse's training at New York Foundling Hospital. She worked lovingly at Monmouth Medical Center as a pediatric nurse. Dolores began a second career when she and her husband opened a cruise travel agency in Ocean Township where she was known by her professional name Erica. She also was an accomplished water colorist and displayed her paintings regularly at many art shows. Mrs. Graniero was a parishioner of St. Michael's RC Church in West End and served the poor of the area as a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Dolores was predeceased by her parents Ottavio and Antoinette Marmora, her brother Vincent Marmora and her sisters Anne Yaccarine and Antoinette Marmora. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Graniero; her daughters Andrea Graniero D'Amico, Florence, Italy and Stephanie Smith, Boynton Beach, FL; her son Steven Graniero, Long Branch and her granddaughter, Jordan Smith. Also surviving are her brothers Ottavio Marmora, Manchester and Anthony Marmora, Queens, NY and her sisters, Mary Sauce, Little Silver, Margaret Ribesell, Elberon, Rita Samuels, Ocean and Lydia Solari, Staten Island, NY and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM, Sunday, July 24th at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral 9:30 am Monday at the funeral home, a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at St. Michael's RC Church, Ocean Avenue, Long Branch. Committal services will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
