Dolores Parlato, 78, of Lincroft, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Staten Island, Dolores resided in Piscataway and Manchester before moving to Lincroft 3 years ago.
Dolores retired from the Plainfield Board of Education where she worked for over 20 years. In her free time, she loved to travel. She enjoyed visiting many destinations, especially on a cruise along with her husband Albert. She was truly a world traveler, seeing the sights in Italy, Spain, Australia, Alaska, Fiji and Hawaii. When not away or on her iPad planning a trip, Dolores could be found spending time with family, going to movies or family trips to Disney.
Predeceased by her husband Albert and sister Carol Hicks; Dolores is survived by her daughters, Denise Parlato of Maryland and Deborah Stazak, and her husband, Shawn of Lincroft; three grandchildren, Victoria Stazak, Ethan Stazak and Jacob Stoddard. She is also survived by two brothers, Eddie Jarzab and John Jarzab.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm, Monday, October 5, 2026 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:30pm Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at St. Gabriel’s RC Church (main church), 100 North Main Street, Marlboro, NJ 07746. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Mausoleum.
