Donald Peter Lindsay 60, of Howell passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY. Born in Long Branch, Donald lived in Howell. Donald was a talented motorcycle mechanic with a lifelong hobby of building and restoring antique Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Keyport where he played bass guitar in the church's Celebration Hour Band. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family at his vacation home in the remote north woods of Maine. Surviving are his wife Bonnie Lindsay, daughter Alice Lindsay, son Peter Lindsay, and his wife Danielle, parents Donald Lindsay and Dorothy Mikaitis, sister Joanne Heilesen, and her husband Tom Heilesen, and loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Service will be offered Thursday 10:30AM at Gethsemane Lutheran Church 60 Maple Place, Keyport. So many great memories, fishing in Maine,flying down the Parkway on bikes but the most memorable was sitting in the keyport diner and Donald telling me about the change in his life since trusting in Jesus Christ as his Savior. The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart, devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. Isaiah 57: 1-2 Thinking of your family today. Donald will be missed but I have his voice in my mind. The next time I see him he will have a perfect (straight) body. My prayer is that God will comfort you. Love Scott

Don was a great guy.He went out of his way for me several times in my dealings with him and my bike.I last saw him a year ago,3 of us went to a swap meet in north Jersey.All the way Don was razzing Ray on his driving! It was a blast!!! 3 grown men felt like teenagers again,laughing at Dons wise cracks.That was the best time I had in YEARS! Godspeed Don and my best to his family.
