Doris Jaffe, 85, Wayside, passed away Thursday January 12th at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Mrs. Jaffe was born in Brooklyn, NY. She was raised in Linden, NJ and graduated from Linden High School. Mrs. Jaffe was an Administrative Assistant at Camp Kilmer, supporting WWII. She and her husband opened the first pharmacy in Red Bank. Mrs. Jaffe was a member of Congregation Brothers of Israel, Long Branch and served the synagogue in their women’s organization. She was a life member of Hadassah and served two times as President of the Sisterhood. Working with local organizations, she was a supporter of sheltered animals. She and her family opened their home for two children in need of heart surgery at Deborah Hospital and continued to help the children as they healed following surgery. Mrs. Jaffe also provided a home to four foster children. A special thanks to Mrs. Jaffe's caregivers Samantha, Rasa, Susie, Dovila, Joe and Michelle. Mrs. Jaffe is predeceased by her husband, Emanuel Jaffe in 1998. Surviving are her children Robin Jaffe and his wife Evie, Auburn, AL, Scott Jaffe and his fiance Kira Feorenko, Freehold and Allyson Bossboly, Ocean Twp. and two grandchildren, Rachel Bossboly and Tyler R. Jaffe. Funeral service Friday, January 13th 11:30 am at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Burial Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
