Doris Lavenia Orendorff, 93, of West Long Branch, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Doris, a homemaker, was a third generation, lifelong resident of West Long Branch. She was an avid bridge player, accomplished cook and active member of the Long Branch Women’s Club. She was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth; daughter Fern Louise; sister and brother-in-law, Dominic and Frances Addeo. She is survived by her daughter Mary Elizabeth Orendorff-Gassman and son-in-law Bruce Gassman, West Long Branch, and five grand-children; Lauren Gassman, West Long Branch; Evan Gassman, Washington, DC, and Fern’s daughters, Casey, Christina and Elizabeth. Also surviving are her long-term caregiver, Seeta and her loving canine companion Cody. Visitation Sunday, February 16, from 2-4PM at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch, NJ. At the family’s request in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Barnabas Hospice Care, 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
