Earl Duane Mackason, 60, of Long Branch passed away on Friday, November 8th.
He was born March 6, 1959 to Delia “Ms. Mack” and Vaughn “Cookie” Mackason in Long Branch and has resided there for most of his life, moving to South Carolina for a short amount of time.
Earl attended Long Branch High School and served his country in the US Army as a young man. Even in his toughest times, he would smile and have a positive outlook on life, bringing joy to all those around him. He found creative ways of letting those around him know that he cared, most of the time, in the form of jokes.
Earl’s favorite hobby was bowling, but he was most happy when he was coaching, he coached in Long Branch for many years before he expanded and began to coach in Neptune for the last two years. Earl was also known for his technical skills, doing computer repairs through the years.
He was known to many for his selfless nature, he made it a mission in life to become an NA sponsor and help those who needed help and didn’t have anyone to turn to.
Earl will be forever memorialized in everyone’s hearts who knew him.
He was predeceased by his siblings Bill “Billy Mack” and Denise Mackason.
Surviving is his wife, Enedina “Carolina” Mackason; former life partner Delores Evans; former wife Charlene Mackason; five children: Duane Evans, Tiffany Mackason, Brittany and her husband Ernst Labady, Earl Mackason, and Elias Mackason; two brothers: Evan Mackason and Si Noble-Khan; his sister Claire Mackason; and six loving grandchildren: De-Quan, Asia, Jaileen, Faith, Samya, and Giovan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 10:00AM at Second Baptist Church, 93 Liberty Street, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
