Edward James Tobiasson, 79, of Red Bank, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 surrounded by his family. 

Edward was born in Talara, Peru. He attended Bridgton Academy in Maine and then Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. Edward would then go on to earn his MBA from Rutgers University.  He would meet the love of his life, Sheila, and the two would marry in 1977.  They started their young family in Kearny, NJ, eventually moving to Lincroft, NJ in 1995. 

Edward worked in finance for the State of New York where he retired from after a long career. He was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church.  He loved the Miami Dolphins and volunteering for Lunch Break in Red Bank.

Edward is predeceased by his wife Sheila; his parents Albert and Amelia; and his brothers Marty and Billy.

Edward is survived by his daughters Mary Melissa and her husband Joe, Stacy and her husband Matthew, and Colleen and her husband Josh; his sisters Grace and her husband Ernesto and Sandra and her husband Tito; his nieces and nephews Ernie, Arturo, Sandra, Susan, Alberto, Martin, and Edward; and his beloved grandchildren Leah, Emma, Averey, Connor, Callan and Quinn.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 28^th from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel NJ 07733. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, September 29^th at 10:15 AM at St. Leo the Great Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft. An entombment will follow at  Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
