Uncle Eddy, I remember the times you could smell chicken soup cooking at my Dads house from where ever you were and you always arrived before it was gone. I remember the cookouts in Oceanport and you guys playing horse-shoes and going crabbing in the river. Those were good times. We will miss you. Love, Candy, Ernie, Richie, Donna and Margaret
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Uncle Eddie, "You old stocken you" one of your favorite lines when I was a little girl. I have so many fond memories of my childhood days with you, Aunt Theresa, Lee Ann, Eddie and Johnny.... You always had a joke or two each and every time we (The Woolley Family) visit the happy home on Cleveland Avenue. Your fingers being stuck in the fridge for one, I remember it just as though you did it yesterday.. May you be resting peacefully now, and know that you will be missed and know that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think back on those days. Thank you for the happy times Uncle Eddie. I Love You. God Bless you Lee Ann, Eddie and Johnny and your families during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. ~Love,Donna and Family~

I remember a day when I was sitting in the kitchen of what was our new house. I was coloring and you walked in and saw me drawing lines all over the place. You walked over and gently pulled the crayon from my hand. You asked me, 'What the heck are you doing?! This is how you color, in straight lines, see? Otherwise everything gets all messy.' I took that lesson thankfully, and you are the reason why I am the artist I am today. Over the years I regret not being there when you needed someone. Anyone. Just to sit there and hold your hand. I love you Pop Pop, forever and always.

I can remember the first time I met Mr. Drahos. It was around six years ago, and I was at a family get together with Rick. All I remember is how nervous I was around everyone and then we sat down and Rick introduced us. He was by far the most genuine person I have ever met, talking to me like he had known me for years and like I was part of the family, he recapped stories of his life. Then I can remember, he looked at Rick and said "don't ever hurt her" then proceeded to hit him with his cane. To this day it still makes me smile knowing how sincere and caring he was to a person he had just met. Edward Drahos was a great man and will always be remembered. Thank you for the stories and memories. You will be missed. Rest Easy.

No matter what I put here it will seem insignificant compared to the man, but here goes... The Shillelagh Song! And a million other little sayings, jokes, memories and songs that come up on an almost daily basis. -Yawn - "Sleep is good for that." -Step on his toes - "It's OK. I walk on them too." -Say "What?"- "Anybody that says 'What?' can hear." I loved LEAVING after visiting because my mom would drive around the block instead of go home and every time we passed the house again, he'd be outside doing something different. Sometimes he'd have a funny hat or do a silly dance or bang a bucket like a drum. So much fun.
