Edward W. Echols, 71, passed away Saturday January 2nd at Monmouth Medical Center. Mr. Echols was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Mr. Echols worked in Security for the Long Branch Housing Authority. Mr. Echols is survived by his daughters Chanell Lyles, Newark and Nikkia Lyles, Asbury Park, three grandchildren, Ky’Lina Kidd, Divine Asare and Nicholas Lyles, his brothers David Echols, Maryland, James Echols, New Jersey and Richard Echols, New Jersey; and his sisters Barbara Lindsey, Long Branch, Elsie Lopez, Maryland and Gloria Echols, Pennsylvania.
