Eileen Ladley 56, of Freehold died Sunday, March 6th surrounded by her loving family.
Eileen was born and raised on Staten Island, NY and graduated from Port Richmond High School. She spent time living in Manhattan working on Wall Street. Upon moving to Colts Neck, NJ 1996 where she began raising her family and has since resided in Freehold.
Eileen’s passion was her family, and her time spent with her five sons. She was active PTA member to Colts Neck and Freehold Township schools. She coached her son’s basketball and football teams. Took a special interest in making sure every child was included.
Eileen was particularly proud of her academic accomplishments of her Associates degree in Substance Abuse Counseling, where she applied her knowledge as well as her compassion to counseling recovering patients. Certified in the NJ opioid overdose training program.
As an entrepreneur she was the owner of Elite at Home Training. She was certified in personal training and therapeutic massage. Eileen also placed 1st in a woman’s regional body building competition. Eileen assisted many clients in reaching their health goals.
As a family member of the 9/11 community, she volunteered in the annual memorials by reading names of loved ones.
Eileen is described as determined, strong, gentle, and caring. Devoted to serving her community where she faithfully attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Colts Neck. She cherished getting everyone together and celebrating holidays with family and friends.
Eileen is predeceased by her father James J. Ladley and brother James P. Ladley.
She is survived by her mother Dolores Ladley of Staten Island, NY. Sons Edward Colligan of Beachwood, NJ, James Spina of Freehold, NJ, Louis Spina of Freehold, NJ, and twins Anthony and Kenneth Kapp of Freehold, NJ, stepson Joseph Spina and wife Isabella of Brooklyn, NY, her sister Mary Ann Leach and husband Mick of Florida and her brothers Daniel Ladley and Patrick Ladley of Staten Island, NY. Sister-in-law Sheri Ladley-Calamusa and husband Frank Calamusa of Colts Neck, NJ. and her nieces, Shannon Raymond, Elizabeth Ladley, Katherine Calamusa and nephew James J. Ladley and her extended family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins. And grand pups Zoe and Max.
Eileen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation for Eileen will be Friday, March 11th from 4-7 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, March 12th, 11 am, at The Parish of Saint Mary, 1 Phalanx Rd, Colts Neck. Burial will follow at Atlantic Cemetery, 139 County Rd 537, Colts Neck.
