Ernest Edward Ricci, 92, of Marlboro, passed away Thursday surrounded by his family.
Ernest was born and raised in Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn, he attended St. James Elementary and Manuel High School. Following graduation, he would join the Army, serving two years. When he left the military, he married the love of his life, Josephine, and the two would settle in Brooklyn and raise their family.
Ernest enjoyed bicycling, football, the Dodgers, and most of all spending time with his family.
Ernest is predeceased by his wife Josephine Ricci.
Ernest is survived by his children Carl Ricci and his wife Amy, and Michael Ricci and his wife Sharon; 4 surviving brothers and sisters and his beloved 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel. A mass of Christian burial will be offered Wednesday, January 11th at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 County Rd 520, Marlboro. An entombment will follow on the St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum.
