It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Fay Lentine, née Arrigo, who left us peacefully on May 26th at the age of 100. Born in Brooklyn, Fay later moved to Staten Island, where she spent most of her life, before spending her remaining years in Colts Neck, NJ. Throughout her long and meaningful life, she was a constant source of love, strength, and inspiration to her family and friends.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Fay was known for her strength, kindness, and generosity. She had a passion for cooking, reading, and travel. Her greatest joy and priority in life was her devotion to family.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Fay is survived by her children, Gwenn and Salvatore, her nine grandchildren, and her four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph; her son, Joseph Jr.; and her three siblings, Vivian, Anne, and Peter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Holmdel Funeral Home. A funeral Mass to honor her life will be held on Saturday, May 31st, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Benedict’s Church, followed by entombment at Moravian Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Fay’s remarkable life.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that her love will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
