Frank Csulak, Sr. of Holmdel, NJ died peacefully on 3 April 2025, with his loving family by his side.
Frank was born July 20, 1934 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Frank spent his early years in Roselle, NJ where he graduated from Abraham and Clark High School and where he met his high school sweetheart Ines Rodman. The two of them were married in 1955. After their marriage, they lived in El Paso, Texas while Frank served in the U.S Army at Fort Bliss. After two years in El Paso, Frank and Ines returned to Roselle, New Jersey in their 1955 Ford Fairlane.
Frank was born with the skills of a natural artist. He attended Pratt Institute, NY where he further developed his art skills. His first job was with the Boy Scouts of America. In 1964, Frank and Ines relocated to Holmdel, NJ where he then started his own graphic design business, called Graphic Communications. Needless to say both Frank Jr and Ron always had the best book report covers in school.
They resided in Holmdel for nearly 60 years raising their two sons, Frank Csulak Jr and Ronald Csulak.
Because of Frank’s artistic abilities and love for Holmdel, he volunteered his time and energy to many local organizations. The touch of Frank Csulak can be seen throughout the town of Holmdel. Frank was heavily involved with several volunteer organizations such as Kiwanis, HYAA, Holmdel Fire Company, Holmdel First Aid Squad, and the Holmdel High School Booster Club. Frank was responsible for designing many logos, including the original Holmdel High School Hornet logo, that still remains today. He was also known for taking care of the ”Csulak Garden” located at the Holmdel Swim Club.
In his later years, Frank and Ines filled their time with Frank playing the trumpet and his wife, Ines playing the accordion in many different bands throughout the NJ, NY area. In addition to his music, Frank enjoyed his pastel artwork. His art work was recognized by many and received multiple awards.
Frank is survived by his loving spouse, Ines, his two sons Frank Jr and Ronald and spouse Francine, 3 grandchildren, Christina, Nicholas, Tara and 2 great grandchildren, Jordan and Brielle.
A private memorial service will be held at the Holmdel Funeral Home followed by an entombment at the Holmdel Cemetery.
