Frank Mason West, 98, of Eatontown, passed away peacefully Monday August 31, 2026.^.

Born in Long Branch and raised in North Long Branch, NJ.  After serving honorably in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean War, Frank attended Monmouth College and earned his pilot’s License via the GI Bill. Frank and his father Lester owned West Cabinet Shop. Later worked as a designer for Gelco in Ocean.  He enjoyed the beach, flying, woodworking, building model boats and houses, and building items for his family and traveling.  One of his model houses can be seen in the Ocean Historical Museum next to the town’s library.

Frank is the oldest member of the Monmouth Beach Fire Department.

Surviving him is his loving companion Renee Mesnikoff, his children Frank H. & his wife Wendy Li, William C. & his wife Joan; his brother William West; his sister Leslie Schmidt; his grandchildren Jennifer & her husband Shawn, Will, Christina, Lauren & her husband Ryan and his great grandchildren Riley, Madilyn, James & Elise.

Visitation Friday, September 11^th 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch.  Burial will be Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY
