Frederick J. Voytko, 85, of Long Branch, New Jersey died at a rehabilitation facility on October 20, 2021.
Fred was born and raised in Trumbull, CT. He graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Connecticut and then enlisted in the US Navy. He was a Navigator on the fleet oiler USS Chukawan (AO-100) which provided refueling services to the Atlantic Fleet, including the USS Intrepid. Following his honorable discharge, Fred studied architecture at Pratt Institute, where he met his future wife, Janet H. Gillen. He opened architectural practices in Spring Lake Heights and, later, in West Long Branch, and was proud of his various projects throughout the State of New Jersey.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Janet Gillen Voytko, and many nieces and nephews.
Interment was in the Voytko family plot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Trumbull, CT.
