Gail V. McMahon, 78, of Morganville, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.  Born in Jersey City, she lived in Bayonne and Orange County, CA before moving back to Jersey 13 years ago.

A loving grandmother to her six grandchildren, she spoiled them with every opportunity.  Gail loved to entertain family and friends, especially around the holidays.  She was very skilled in the kitchen and passed on her knowledge to her children.  She collected all things holiday related and was well known for her festive displays in the bay window of the family home in Bayonne.  In her younger years she cherished the time spent traveling to Italy with her husband and also on family vacations.  If you had a chance to become friends with Gail, you were considered a “lifelong friend.”  Gail retired after a 20+ year career working for Provident Savings Bank where she was a branch manager.

She is survived by her devoted husband Thomas McMahon of 57 years, daughter, Sharon Haji (Sadir), son, Christopher McMahon (Courtney) and her six loving grandchildren, Madison, Jack, Brandon, Matthew, Max and Olivia along with her “best friend” Linda.

Visitation will be held 2pm to 6pm, Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, Monday, April 27, 2026 at St. Gabriel’s Historic RC Church, 100 N Main St, Marlboro NJ, with entombment following at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, 549 Route 520, Marlboro NJ.
