George R. Steneck, Jr., 72 of West Long Branch passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, July 8th, he was known as 'Hey Daddy.' He grew up in Oakhurst before moving to West Long Branch in 1964. George wore many hats, he worked for Ocean Township Post Office, for 20 years. He was the owner and operator of George's Bar in Deal. He went on to own and operate Rain Barrel Laundromat and Shore Dry Cleaners, lastly he owned Hey Daddy Bagels, Leonardo. One could always count on George for quick wit and generosity. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lynn Richards Steneck; a son, Geoffrey Steneck, Ocean Twp.; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and David Musselman, West Long Branch; his grandsons, Anthony, Alex, David, Jr. and Patrick. Memorial gathering will be Thursday, July 12th, 4 to 8 PM at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch, NJ. Contributions in memory of George may be made to Old First United Methodist Church, 197 Locust Avenue, West Long Branch, NJ 07764. You may light a candle of condolence by visiting www.woolleyfh.com.
