Gregory Howard, 46, of Colts Neck, passed away Wednesday surrounded by his family.
Gregory was born in Orange and raised in West Caldwell. Gregory graduated from James Caldwell High School then would go on to Monmouth University where he also played football. He would take his first job as a High School teacher at Long Branch High School but would ultimately leave to pursue a career in sales. He would work his way up to Director of Sales at Acronis.
Gregory would marry the love of his life, Lauren, in 2005 and would settle in Colts Neck in 2007 to raise his young family. Gregory enjoyed coaching his son’s football team, camping, his dogs Frankie Doodles and Maggie May, and most importantly spending time with his family.
Gregory is predeceased by his father Michael Howard.
Gregory is survived by his loving wife Lauren Howard; his children Christian and Brooke; his mother Diane Howard; his siblings Debra Dipalantino and Michael Howard; his aunts Maureen Sadeik and Joyce Sharp; his mother-in-law Marybeth Greaux; his brother-in-law Bill Geaux and his wife Caitlin; and his nephew and niece William and Abigail.
A memorial mass will be offered Monday, July 24th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733.

Struggling to come to terms with the terribly sad news of Greg's passing. To his family I can't even begin to comprehend the level of pain you must be in at present.
It's been long time since I worked with Greg at Register.com in the early 2000's. I'm sure that this is being said a great deal but Greg left a big impression and massively contributed to both my professional and personal growth both at Register.com and also writing me the most wonderful reference for my next job.
I looked forward my trips to New Jersey, some great times in Nova Scotia and best of all getting chance to host Greg over in the UK. He humoured me by watching my beloved Wales play rugby (I'm sure he saw it as a poor man's American Football), I in turn treated him to 'real' Fish and Chips.
Daft memories I know, but it is how I'll remember Greg. Rest easy fella you will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Greg's family, the Acronis family and all of his many many friends and colleagues have lost a shining light with Greg's untimely passing. His sense of humor, intelligence, deep caring and huge heart will be missed by everyone he has ever come in contact with. Every time I hear a peal of thunder I will imagine it's God belly laugh as Greg brings another seeming immortal into his cross-hairs! Heaven is indeed a bit of a better place now and Earth just a bit less so. Rest in Peace, my friend.

To Greg's family and loved ones- My path only crossed with Greg's for a season or two at Monmouth but I just wanted to pass along my sympathy. I was very saddened to hear this. We were not close in terms of hanging out or anything but him being O line and myself D line, we went up against each other in practice. He was a tough guy but what I remember more is him being a good teammate, a kind person and also a happy man with a positive personality and great smile. I am truly sorry for your huge loss.
