Adrianne Harrison-Surgeon left a message on January 30, 2009:
The Lord has truly blessed me to have known Greg Reed. He is my friend and has been my friend since we were children when he was my mother's student. Although we went to different high schools we went to Howard U together and we shared a lot of wonderful conversations. I will always remember the depths of discussions we would have. Greg is resting in a peaceful place now. His pride and joy is his son who I have never met but I know him because he was the source of most of Greg's conversations. I am also so happy that I was able to spend time with Greg this past Fall when I visited Washington. My condolences to Keith and Mrs. Mary Reed. We must think of Greg as resting. He is only resting. And he is home. May God bless you.
Dr. Lauren Harrison left a message on January 30, 2009:
Greg has had a role in my life since childhood - taking piano lessons, later in college at Howard and I would try and give him a call everytime I was in Washington. I am so sorry to hear that he has pass on but I take conform in knowing that he is resting peacefully with the Lord and has taken his place in the Celestial Choir/orchestra - making a joyful noise to the glory of God. My sincerest condolences to Mrs Reed, Ricky and family. Lauren

I worked with Greg at Seyfarth Shaw some years ago. He was always very accommodating and would do anything for you. He always had a great smile. He loved his jazz music. He was our "Big Man" and I will miss him.

Mr. Reed and I taught together at Spingarn in the year 2006-2007. He was a great guy. He was my buddy and friend. I will miss him. We talked about life often. I will always remember that million dollar laugh and his smile. I know I'll see him in heaven and I'll wait to hear that laugh once again.
