Guy Richard Beardslee (79) passed away on Monday, March 9th. Guy was born in Montclair, New Jersey to Lois and Lester Beardslee. His inquisitive nature and adventurous spirit led him to a fulfilling life. He earned his engineering degree at Lehigh University, raised a loving family with his wife, Margaret, in Chatham, New Jersey, and transitioned from his long career in chemical engineering to an IT consulting business that he started with his wife, Carol. Guy relocated to central New Jersey where he spent his later years as a resident of Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Kind, loving and compassionate, Guy saw the good in people – family, friends and strangers alike. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he knew and was active in local politics and efforts to make things fair and prosperous for those in his community. He was happiest enjoying nature and pursuing a good adventure, whether he was skiing, skydiving, running marathons or simply hiking in the woods with his beloved dog RC, his conversations were thoughtful and his smile infectious.

Guy was predeceased by Margret Beardslee, Carol Beardslee and survived by his children, Matthew (and wife Kelly) and Pamela (and husband Jorge), brothers Eugene and Bob, and grandchildren Jorge, Lyla, Adrianna, and Valentina.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 30 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
