Harriett Guttenplan, 99 of Tinton Falls passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Guttenplan was born in the Bronx, NY and lived in New York City until moving to Long Branch in 1945 where she lived before moving to Sea Brook Village in 2010. She was the Controller of Guttenplan's Bakery, Long Branch from 1946 until her retirement in 1970. Mrs. Guttenplan was a member of Congregation Brothers of Israel, Long Branch where she was a member of the Sisterhood. She also was a member of the Long Branch Hadassah. Her husband Irving passed away in 1988. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Patsy Guttenplan, Little Silver and Edward and Bonnie Guttenplan, Highland Park; six grandchildren, Adam, Ariel, Aaron, Craig, Seth and Allison. Funeral services will be Wednesday October 12th, 11:00 AM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Interment will follow at Congregation Brothers of Israel Cemetery, West Long Branch.
