Mrs. Ida Baldo, 93, of Marlboro passed away on Sunday morning. She was born in Malfetta, Italy. In years past, she was employed as a Seamstress in the Garment industry. Prior to moving to New Jersey, she and her husband John and their children lived in Brooklyn, NY and eventually Staten Island prior to settling in New Jersey.
Ida was a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother.She will be missed by all those whom she loved.
She was predeceased by her loving husband John in 2013, and by her son in law Thomas DiMatteo in 2010. She is survived by her son, John and his wife Diane, her daughters Diane DeMuth and her husband Nick, Lynn DiMatteo, Sandra O’Reilly, Elizabeth Perulli and her husband Larry, and Geraldine Childers, and by her 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ on Tuesday, May 21st from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered for Mrs. Baldo on Wednesday, May 22nd, at 10:30 AM in St. Gabriel Historic Church, 549 State Road 520, Marlboro, NJ. Entombment will then follow at St. Gabriel Cemetery Mausoleum.
